Kiss me Dirty - Dirty Girl Run

I am so lucky that I have awesome friends!! One of those awesome friends is Staci. She invited me to run the Dirty Girl run with her and her fun relatives. It was a BLAST!!!

Me and Staci... clean and ready to run!

A few more of us...

And here we are after the run... Along the run there were obstacles. Such as a 5 foot wall you had to climb over. And a pit of mud that you had to army crawl through.. water to run though.. and as you can see.. lots of mud.

You cant see it that well.. but I had mud splatters on my face.

Here we are all putting our feet in before the race... How cute are we...

And here are my feet after the race... Not so cute any more...

I would have to say that this was one of the funnest races I have done yet. Maybe its because it ended up being more of a walk... maybe its because it was only 4 miles.. maybe because my running buddies were so much fun... or maybe because I got to get all muddy and dirty, and not only was it ok.. but it was expected. :) If you ever get a chance to run one of these races... DO IT! You will not regret it!

Memorial Day Fun

Since Tye and I had work off for Memorial day, and the girls did not have school, we decided to take the girls out for a day of fun. This also gave Mommy Scarlet and Grandma Pat Pat a day of quiet. :)

We took them down to see my moms new puppys and then we took them bowling. They loved it! And so did I. It was a great day out of the house, spending time with some of my favorite people.

Olivia bowling... yes.. it takes forever for the bowling ball to make it to the pins.. and yes, I am surprised the ball did not go strait through the floor every time she lobbed it.. and worst of all.. her score was more than double what mine was...

Avery bowling... This kid cracks me up! She would get so excited after she threw the ball that she would turn around and yell oh yeah... We would then have to remind her to turn around and watch to she how she did before getting excited. By the second game.. she had got it down.

Madison... she did not waste any time. Most of the time she would scream like Tarzan when she would run to throw the ball... it was awesome.

Thanksgiving point Half Marathon

I signed up for a half marathon in November. I thought if I signed up, it would motivate me to run all winter long. Well.. It sorta did. I did train more this winter than ever before.. however.. not enough to say that I was prepared. So I am nervous... to make matters worse.. the day before my race.. it snows. Nothing that stick on the ground though.. so I am a little more worried about this race than I was before.

Saturday morning I get up at 5:30 am.. and there is 2 to 3 inches of snow at my house, and its still coming down. I was sick to my stomach... But I got up.. and got ready.. and went to the race.

Here is a a picture about 10 minutes before the race starts. The sky is clearing up.. But its still SO SO SO cold.

The race was so hard. This course had lots of ups and down. Not my favorite course, but it was beautiful! Running through the tulip festival, with the snow on all of the flowers.. and the sun coming out. I could smell the cherry blossoms, and the air was super clear. It ended up being a pretty fun race.

Here I am.. closing in on the finish line.

And crossing!!! I made it! The time on the clock is not my real time. Its a chip timed race.. which means that your time starts when you cross the starting line. I did not get to the starting line right at first.. so my real finishing time was 2:44. That is 20 seconds faster than my time on the halloween half! And this course was tougher!!! I did awesome!!! So awesome that after I crossed the finish line, I started to cry. It was such a great moment!!

After the race.. with the finish line in the back ground!!

Around mile 5 I feel a blister coming on... I did not want my life to be miserable. So I named my Blister.. that way I could talk to it, and hopefully not get a bad attitude. A bad attitude, with 8 miles left to go.. could be disastrous. I would like you to meet... ANDREW the blister.

In case you could not spot him above.. I circled him... Biggest blister I have ever had..

I am really glad that I signed up for this race, and that I finished it. It was a true race against myself. And I won. :)

Motercycle Date

Tyes friend let us borrow his bike for a day! It was awesome! I cannot wait to get our own bike. The helmet that I used was a little too small for me.. if you look in the picture below, you can see how it squished my cheeks. :) But I would rather have squished cheeks than a squished head any day. :)

Here we are together. :)

Paiges Creative Side

I was given a dresser. Well... as you can see.. its pretty old. So I gave it a quick face lift last night as I watched Tangled. Here are some of the before pictures.

And here are the after pictures. Its a little busy.. but I love it!

Trip to Moab

I had such a great time in Moab!! I will admit that I got a little scared on a few of the jeep trails, but I believe that next time I will do much better now that I know what to expect.

One of the main reasons we planned this trip is so I could go down and run. I ended up changing my half marathon to a 5 mile run and I am so glad that I did. My shoes are kinda old, and my legs started to go numb about a mile into my run. Guess my shoes were done.. I was able to finish the race and I was so happy to be done, and get those shoes off of my feet! They have been retired, never to be worn again!

My drive to work.

Here are a few pictures from my drive to work the other day.. It was awesome.

Puppy Love

Here are some pictures of my doggie. I personally believe that she is the cutest doggie in the world... so I find myself taking pictures of her all the time. Here are a few of my favorites.

She loves to play in the snow. But her fur is so long, that it sticks to her.

Tye did not want to get a dog.. but I kinda got one any ways. Here he is playing with her. He might not admit it, but he is glad I got a dog too. :)

My nieces when to pirate island for dinner a while ago.. and they got eye patches. I decided to see how Shiesa would look as a pirate....

I gave her a hair cut the other day. This is a pretty bad picture of her, but you can tell how un-fuzzy her face is. She looks like a new dog, but still pretty darn cute! You can see her underbite in this picture.

Sledding with the Nieces

We decided to go sledding a few months back, and we had a blast. There was not much snow on the ground, but just enough that we could go.

Here are the girls at the top of the hill. It was quite a hike to get to the top. Madison and Avery said that its the "Best sledding hill EVER".

The hill was so big that Livy decided to be the photographer.

When we got there it was beautiful, however there was a storm that was coming in. We only sledded for about 30 minutes. Here is the mountain before...

Here is the mountains when we left.. the storm blew in fast.

Long time no... um.. Write. :)

Its been a long time since I updated anything on here. Here is some of the things that have happened in the Viehweg house.

Mark Scarlet, and their three girls moved in with us. We live with Tye's mom, so we really have a full house now. And I LOVE IT. There is always someone to talk to, always someone to laugh with, always someone to cook for, or to cook for me. Always someone to spoil my dog.. the list goes on and on. Scarlet is a great mother, and I am learning so much from her and how tender she is with her children and her husband in the stressful time. Tye's mom is so patient, and so giving. I am learning a lot from her about being selfless. Needless to say, this has been a great experience for me, I'm not sure everyone else involved can say the same.

I am running my 2nd half marathon in two weeks and two days. AHHHAHDRHDHAHHA I am pretty much freaking out. I have not trained well enough, and I am not sure I am going to be able to do it without a runner buddy. Yes, I am running this one all by myself. Its going to be a great test for me to see if I can push myself to do something with only my own moral support. I am a horrible push over when it comes to myself.

Tye has finished painting his jeep green and he has got most of his parts done. It looks fantastic. I am so proud of him. I believe he is pretty proud of himself too. We are going to Moab in two weeks for my race, and well... you just can't go to Moab and not jeep when you own a jeep. So.. Jeeping here we come. Its going to be my first time, and I am kinda nervous. Tye is so excited it is all he talks about, all he thinks about, and I am sure he has even dreamed about it. Multiple times. He is finally getting to share something with me that he is super passionate about.

My Brother Colter also bought a jeep and his family is going to come down to Moab with us!! Can I just tell you how much I love that my husband and my brother are friends!! It means so much to me. They are two of my most favorite people, and being able to be around them both at the same time, is heaven!

Tye is doing really well in school, and is hating every moment of it. (That's how i know he is still sane -- really... who likes school) :) He has about two years left, but might need to take a semester off for sanity reasons.

Thats some of what has been going on in our neck of the woods! Hope you all are doing great! :)

Running Running, Runner

This year I have decided that I want to run in TEN races. So far I am signed up for three half marathons. So that means I have 7 more races to sign up for!! (Not all half marathons!) I would love to find people to run with. Its always more fun to run with a friend.

I am not a fast runner, so if you are reading this thinking.. you go girl.. but not for me.. well.. *slap* stop that!!! Anyone can come and run with me. Some of the races that I want to do are only 3 miles long, and you can walk them!

Let me know if you are signed up for any races, or if you would like to sign up for some with me!
