Since I posted two posts about some of my nieces... I thought I should post about my other niece.

This weekend the girls came to sleep over. We watched a movie, and ate ice cream and made a fort and jumped in the leaves!

Treasure Hunting!

The other day I went treasure hunting! ok ok.. I actually lost the remote, and in my quest to find it, I ended up cleaning out the couch.

Here is a list of some of the things that I found:

Quilting Class Success!!

Here are the blocks that we made in the quilting class that I teach. I made the girl in pink, and Vanessa made the girl in blue.

Once she has the quilt pieced together she will add button boobs, and flowers in the girls hair, and all sorts of fun stuff!! Her quilt is going to be super cute!!

Projects coming together

Here are a few of my projects that I have been working on.


I have the squares about half way done for this quilt. It is also going to have a different lay out. I just wanted to get them up on my design wall to see how many I have finished.


I put a picture of a square from this quilt in a blog a few days back, and now its all put together and hopefully getting quilted tonight.

I am not sold on it though. I don't know if I even like it enough to want to give it to someone, but maybe the quilting will change my mind, and will help me to like it.

Halloween

Here are some pictures of us at the Halloween party. They are not the best, but you can at least tell that I was princess Leia. And Tye was a sailor.

So when I left to go to work this morning, this was my view!! It was stunning!! The picutre for sure does not do it justice.

And, I wanted to show you the projects that I am working on. I am going to make a stain glass window quilt with the colors below. Hopefully I will be able to get started on it tonight.

This is a baby quilt that I am making. I only have a few more blocks to make and then I get to figure out how I am going to arrange them. :)

And this is my humble quilting room... well corner. :) But it works great for me. I am super excited to have a place all my own where I can work on my craftiness.


And last but not least... this is my Halloween costume this year. Some of our friends thought it would be fun if we got to pick out our spouses costumes this year. Me, Lacie and Ashlee thought it would be great if our husbands all went as sailors!! So that is what Tye is going to be. And below is what he chose for me. :) I think he did a pretty good job.

New passion in life...

QUILTING!! Its my new passion. I could spend hours looking on line for new quilting Ideas, or new ways to do things. And I could spend even more time actually sewing! Not to mention the fact that I could spend thousands in the blink of an eye... and still think of things that i would want.

I saw this picture of someones sewing room on a blog.. And I almost peed my pants.. Isn't it great!! I would kill to have a room like that... and a quilting machine.. and all of that fabric...



So.. if you are wanting to learn how to quilt... or want to just come hang out and quilt with me.. come on over!!

Jack-O-Lope-O-Lantern

I made my co-worker Mandy a Jack-o-Lantern to put on her desk to keep her company. Vanessa helped me draw the face and make it super cute, but I still thought it was missing something. Mandy being the smarty pants that she is, added the antlers. PERFECT. And the Jack-O-lope-O-lantern was born. Isn't it cute!

Family Pictures

Mission Call

My little brother just got his mission call... Ok.. he got it a few weeks ago.. I am just behind. He is going to Louisville Kentucky!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor day weekend me and Tye went Camping!!! It was our first camping trip together!! And we had a blast. We were at a bbq the night before, so we did not get up to our spot until really late. Tye had been up to this spot before, but it was exciting for me to wake up and see exactly what was surrounding us. After breakfast we shot our guns and then went and explored all of the abandoned mines we could find. SUPER FUN!! We will for sure be going back!!

Things that make you happy to be alive

So I left work early yesterday with a super bad headache. I knew that unless I got somewhere quiet and got some medicine in me.. it would soon be a migraine. So I get home and my nephew is haning out with grandma and he is super excited that I am there to play with him. I go inside and I take my hair down, and its a mess. Its all over the place and I just look awful. I feel like death. Parker comes running up to me and says " Oh Paige... How did you get so beautiful? You must have used your magic!" To sum it all up... Parker is the one of the cutest kids in the world!!

Best Husband Ever!!

He brought me flowers today at work. Just because! Love you Tye!! Thanks for being so great!!!

Our Honeymoon

After we got hitched we were able to go up to a cabin for a few nights. Tye's great neighbor let us use it. It was perfect. We enjoyed breakfast in bed, watching the sun set from the porch swing, and just getting away for a while. One of my friends let us take their motorcycle for a ride, and we had a blast!! Thank you so much Amy and Evan. It was one of the highlights of our honeymoon!! We also loved the instructions on the toilet.

Some one needs a lesson in paying it forward....

Yesterday there was an earwig on the bathroom sink, so I scooped it off and stuck it in the trash can. I was feeling super nice so I left it alive. Tye told me that the earwig was just going to crawl out of the garbage can, but I felt pretty confident that he would stay in there and I was sure that I would never see that earwig again.

Well, this morning when I go in the bathroom to brush my teeth, I found that earwig... ON MY TOOTHBRUSH!!!!! If you know me at all you know that I love teeth, and toothbrushes and things like that. In high school I wrote a 13 page paper on toothbrushes. So I was super upset that this earwig decided to go hang out on my toothbrush especially after I saved his life. I was delighted to kill him by flushing him down the toilet, and then I threw my toothbrush away.

Never again will I save another earwigs life. They will all die!
