Stoplight Dancing!

Keisha and I decided to have a girls night. So, we bought some glow sticks and we went stoplight dancing. We would stay in the car, and just break out the glow sticks and dance. Our goal was to
make as many people laugh as possible. It was so much fun. I love that girl.

Making Cookies

So.. Last night me and Tye decided to make peanut butter cookies. We made a really old recipe... And they were not like the cookies that I usually make. And.. with the first pan.. I set my timer wrong.. so it did not go off. But we remembered they were in the oven.. we just took them about about 5 min to late. With the second pan, I took them out just a little early. So they look a little pale. And then with the third pan both me and Tye forgot that they were in the oven.. ha ha.. Those cookies were minutes away from starting on fire..

The good news is... we got a new recipe, and we made a brand new batch. They turned out great. We are going to be eating peanut cookies all week. Yummy!

Luckiest Girl in the World

I really am the luckiest girl in the whole wide world, and I truly know that my Heavenly Father has been watching out for me. Everything has worked out just the way it needed to work out. Me and my best friend Tye recently started dating. We have been best friends for about 5 months now, and we spent every night together. After I would get off of work we would hang out. And I looked forward to it every day. One night as we are laying there talking, we finally figured out that we both liked each other, and Wha-Bam.. we started dating. Its be so great! We spend every moment that we can together, and I have never had so much fun. I can truly be myself with him. He makes me laugh, and he stands up for me. Best part is.. he loves me. He knows my past, he knows what I want in the future, and he loves me for all of it. And I love him. With all of my heart. I know his past, and I love him even more for it.
He is the strongest and best guy that I have ever met and I am eternally grateful that he has come into my life.

My Past and my Future

I was talking to a friend today and they asked how I was doing... and honestly right now, I have a lot going on, but I am super happy. I feel super content. But, one thing that has been on the back of my mind, is how I don't want my past to become my future.
I have had a rocky past. I have been hurt, I have trusted and loved and I have been lied to and torn apart. And its super hard for me to let go of the past and realize that it was the past. People are not all the same. Everyone is different. The people in my life now, are not going to treat me the same way that people in the past have.
I guess I can liken this to the scriptures. We will all be punished for our own sins and not for Adams transgressions. So, why should I hold something against someone that someone else did..
Ha ha.. I don't know if this is making sense.. but I could sum it up with.. I am trying. I promise. Yeah, I am scared, but I am working on it. Please be patient with me.

2009... already a year of refinement

So... This year has been a big learning year already. And yes.. it is only Jan 2nd.

New years day at about 5 am.. I learned that honesty might hurt.. a lot. But, its always the correct choice. Some times the truth can cut you to the core. It can keep you up at night, make your stomach hurt. Make you loose your appetite, but the right choice still. The hardest part is stepping out of the situation, and seeing what a blessing it really was.

Jan 1st at 10:30 pm I learned that I am a Daughter of God. That I am priceless beyond words and that I can say no. I learned that I need to have enough respect for myself to stand up and say what I know is right, with out fear of the consequence. I learned that people love me more than I will ever know, and they would gladly stand up and fight for me, or with me.

And over the course of these few days I have learned that my Heavenly Father has some big plans for me. He is trying to teach me some things about myself. And trying to prepare me for what is coming. It has been an emotional roller coaster. (I'm sure some of the emotions are due to the fact that in three days I have only gotten 13 hours of sleep. 7 of which were last night.) And this year has already taught me that friends and family are irreplaceable, and without them and the lord... we will not make it through.

Looks like 2009 is going to be a year of refinement.... So watch out everyone.. I am a diamond in the making.

Friends... Love them all

So, last night I had to chance to go up to the zoo to see the zoo lights. Its was lots of fun, but it was so cold. On the drive home, I got to talk to Laine for almost 2 hours. It was so amazing. He is such a great guy. The girl that gets to marry him, is going to be super lucky. It seems like he knows just what to say to help me get through the tough times. Then I drop him off at his house and before he will let me go home, he fills my windshield wiper fluid up. So great! Laine is also going to help me figure myself out. I feel like I am struggling with some stuff in my past that I want to get over, and he is going to help me with that. Amazing.

I also need to mention my best friend Keisha. We talk on the phone almost every single day. No one seems to be able to understand me as much as she. We connected almost instantly. I love her with all of my heart. She was an answer to my prayers and she helped me to get through a really bad break up. I hope that I can be there for her, like she was there for me.

Another friend is Tye. I hang out with him almost every day. Me and Tye can sit and talk for hours about nothing. Most nights it 2 am before we realize how late it is. I can tell him anything, and I would hope that he feels the same way with me. I know that if I ever need anything that Tye will be there for me, rain or shine. I know that God puts people in our lives for specific reasons, and Tye has been my rock. I don't think he will ever know how much he has helped me, and how great of an example he has been to me.

Allen is another friend that I have to mention. I have always felt like I am a strong person. But when I get around someone that I know is stronger than me... I loose it. Allen is one of those people. If I am having a bad day, and someone asks if i'm ok.. I can look at them and say yes. If Allen asks... I tear up, and I end up just giving him a huge hug, and spilling my guts. There is just something about him that evokes me to let it all out. I guess what it comes down to is I trust him so much, and I know he is so strong, that I can share that, and he will still love me all the same.

I am so eternally grateful for all of the wonderful friends that I have. There are many many more friends that I don't have time to mention, but they are all great, and they have all changed my life for the better. I love you all.
